Top Tips
If you don’t have a blender, you can also make this delicious stirred chocolate iced coffee with a hand mixer (like my Strawberry Iced Coffee recipe – coming soon), or serve it unstirred (iced coffee with ice cream recipe – coming soon).
When choosing a stirred iced coffee, I prefer the blender method. It yields a wonderfully creamy texture that enhances the coffee experience, resulting in a beverage that’s simply divine!
The beauty of unstirred iced coffee lies in the ability to scoop out your preferred ice cream and enjoy its flavors alongside the coffee, enhancing each spoonful with its unique blend. Ultimately, you’re left with a delightful fusion of coffee and ice cream, a truly wonderful treat!
How to Cool Coffee Fast
I adore using homemade cold brew in this recipe! However, you can also prepare a delicious espresso and brew it directly over ice for a rapid cooldown! Here are some methods to swiftly chill hot coffee:
- Ice Bath Method: Fill a large bowl or sink with ice water. Place the container of hot coffee into the ice bath and stir occasionally until it cools down.
- Pour Over Ice: Simply pour the hot coffee directly over a glass filled with ice cubes. Stir gently to ensure thorough cooling.
- Refrigeration: Transfer the hot coffee into a heat-resistant container and place it in the refrigerator. It will take some time to cool completely, but it’s a hands-off method.
- Freezer: Pour the hot coffee into an ice cube tray and place it in the freezer. Once frozen, use the coffee ice cubes to chill a fresh batch of hot coffee without diluting its flavor.
