Homemade Lemon Ginger Syrup

Ingredients
 

  • 5.3 oz Ginger
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 1 cup Water
  • Lemon Juice from 1 Lemon

Instructions

  • Peel and slice 5.3 oz Ginger.

  • Chop into small pieces with an electric chopper and place in a saucepan.
  • Add 1 cup Water, 1 cup Sugar, and Lemon Juice from 1 Lemon.

  • Bring the mix to a simmer.
  • Stir until the sugar has dissolved and keep simmering on low heat for another 20 minutes until you reduce the liquid to 250 ml/ 8.5 oz. total.
  • After cooling down, strain the ginger through a narrow-meshed sieve into a clean, dry jar or airtight bottle using a funnel.
  • Keep in a cool place.
