Now, you might already know how passionate I am about coffee—I seriously can’t help it! Creating delicious coffee recipes at home (especially ones that rival fancy café versions) is my jam. And the best part? It’s SO easy, you’ll wonder why you didn’t try sooner!
The homemade brown sugar syrup is truly a game changer—rich, caramel-like notes that mingle with spicy cinnamon, elevating your everyday latte to gourmet goodness. How to Make a Brown Sugar Cinnamon Latte like Starbucks (but even better)
Step 1: Sweet Cinnamon Prep
Grab your favorite latte glass, add homemade brown sugar syrup, ground cinnamon, and a tiny pinch of salt (it makes all the flavors pop!). Stir together until nicely combined.
Step 2: Espresso Magic
Brew a shot of espresso separately—so easy and no fuss! Pour your espresso into the cinnamon-syrup mixture and stir again. Mmm, the aroma already promises deliciousness!
Step 3: Milk Foam Dream
Steam and froth your chosen milk (whole, 2%, or oat). Aim for that perfectly silky, dreamy foam texture.
Step 4: Pour & Enjoy
Gently pour your steamed milk into the espresso, holding back some foam for a beautifully rustic finish. That “shaky,” speckled look on top? Pure latte joy!
Step 5: Fancy Finish (optional)
Feeling extra? Add whipped cream and a cheerful sprinkle of cinnamon. Because why not?
Barista Tips
- Filtered Water: Always use filtered water in your espresso machine or coffee brewer—this prevents mineral buildup inside your beloved equipment and makes your coffee taste cleaner and brighter. Your coffee gear (and taste buds!) will thank you.
- Plant-based Milk: Opt for the “Barista” versions of oat or almond milk. They’re specially formulated to foam beautifully and won’t curdle in your coffee. Goodbye grainy lattes, hello creamy deliciousness!
